KING CONGRATULATES MR." SCOTT British Official Wireless. Rugby, July 3. The King has sent a message to Mr. C. P. Scott, veteran editor, owner of the Manchester Guardian, whose resignation is announced. “For fifty-seven years you have been responsible for the conduct of a great newspaper,” says the message, “and his Majesty, while regretting your resignation, congratulates you on your achievement, which must surely be unique in the history of journalism.” . '
