Wellington, Last Night

The weather will bo cloudy and unsettled in districts with a westerly aspect with rain. Elsewhere it will be fair at first but unsettled conditions will shortly extend and rain will become more general. There will be mild temperatures at first but a cold change is probable after from 24 to 36 hours. Moderate north-westerlies to westerlies will freshen generally and become strong from Cook Strait southwards, later backing to southerlies. The sea will generally be smooth to moderate but will rise on the west coast.
