HAWERA V. NEW PLYMOUTH. In fine though dull weather a Hawera ladies’ team played a New Plymouth ladies’ team on the Waiwakaiho links yesterday. New Plymouth won 10 games and Hawera 7. Following are detailed results of play (Hawera players being mentioned first): — Miss Richards lost to Mrs. Duff 3 and 1. Miss Burgess beat Miss Gavin 4 and 2." Mrs. Dickie beat Miss Rollo 2 and 1. Miss G. Death lost to Mrs. StraiJg 3 and 1. Miss 11. Burgess lost to Mrs. Wyatt 5 and 4. Mrs.'Gabites lost to Mrs. Anderson' 1 down. Mrs. Hawthorne lost to Mrs. Stainton 3 and 1. Mrs. McQuin beat Miss Webb 3 and 1. "Mrs. Dalgetty beat Mrs. Taylor 7 and 6. Miss Pease beat Mrs. Johnson 1 up.
