APPE.iI BOAP.D AMENDMENTS. . ..By Telegraph—Press Association Auckland, May 10. The Tramways and Municipal Bus Employees’ Union, at' two largely attended meetings, passed a resolution that, after hearing the report in the Massick’s appeal case, it viewed with concern the findings of the Trardways Appeal Board during the past, ten years. It asked that the whole matter be investigated with a view to reconstituting the board in such a manner as will restore confidence in it. Tho Parliamentary Labour Party’s Auckland representation committee, the Tramways’ Federation and other Auckr land unions aro being asked to support the action being taken. An amendment of the Tramways Act is desired to permit as chairman of the Appeal Board if deemed necessary,, any person - other than the senior presiding magistrate in the board’s district.
