DISTRICT NURSE ASSOCIATION
SISTER GILL’S REPORT RECEIVED. The monthly meeting of the New Plymouth District Nurse Association was held last week, Mrs. H. V. S. Griffiths presiding. It was decided to send a letter of thanks to the Kaimiro Sunday school for its harvest festival contributions, and to Messrs. McGruer for their donations of pieces of material for the members of the sewing committee to make into bedspreads for needy families. Sister Gill stated she had several families still needing bedspreads. Sister Gill’s report stated there had been less sickness during the past month,. but much time had been spent in social welfare work. The demand for children’s clothing had been greater now the weather was colder. The association acknowledged the following gifts: Clothing, Mesdames Gleeson, Kitt and Anstis, Misses Cannell, Craig, Jackson and Nurses’ Home; bedding, Mesdames Douglas and Bremer and Miss Taunt; flowers, Mrs. Higgins; delicacies, . etc., Mesdames Newman, Brash; donations, Mesdames Curtis and Alexander.
