WEATHER TO IMPROVE SOON.
By Telegraph. —Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The.depression is now moving off New' Zealand. An anti-cyclone is moving from the New South Wales coast towards the Dominion and is already affecting the southern districts. The pressure is falling again over Eastern Australia. Winds will become southerly generally ’and freshening to-night, but moderating again to-morrow. The southerlies are not likely to be long-lived. Seas will be rather rough at times on the East Coast between Akaroa and East Cape and in Cook Strait. Otherwise they will be smooth to moderate. Moderate southerly winds decreasing and later tending to be northerly are expected in the Eastern Tasman, with smooth to moderate seas. The weather will still be cloudy, with further showers in many districts, especially on the East Coast, north of Akaroa, but improving shortly from the westward. Temperatures will be cool.
