THE FIFTH CRICKET TEST
AUSTRALIA’S CHANCES BRIGHTER. By Teleg ph—Press Assn. —Copyright. London, March 6. Mr. Clem Hill, in the Daily Telegraph, says there is not much to choose between the test teams, but he considers Australia’s chances much brighter in the fifth test. If she wigs the toss it wil] be six to four on her chance. If England wins the toss it will be five to four in her favour. The changed outlook is due first to the fact that ever since the second test Australian batsmen have overcome Larwood. More important still is that Australia has gained two game young fighters in Jackson and Bradman, and will have two openings bowlers capable of taking advantage of the new ball. There has been a. lot of talk concerning Alexander, but he has. a lot to learn. At present he is a wild tearaway, about as fast as Lai’wood, but very erratic.
