“The Royal Society has come out much better than at any other show/’ said Mr. Johnston, treasurer of the Afanawatu A. and P. Association, when presenting a statement of accounts which indicated, after allowing for the payment of a two-fifths proportion of the total overhead expenses incurred by the local association in organising the fixture and dividing the net profit on an equal basis, that there was a credit of £4l each accruing to the Royal Society and the local association.
