MEAT FROM SOUTH AMERICA. The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board has received a cablegram from its representative at Buenos Aires, South America, advising the following shipments to the United Kingdom for the fortnight ended January 17, from Argentine and Uruguay: 343,050 quarters chilled beef, 13,728 quarters frozen beef, C 7.028 carcases frozen mutton, 209,900 carcases frozen lamb. The quantity shipped to the Continent of Europe during the same period was as follows:— 39JG4 quarters frozen beef, 10,1G3 carcases frozen mutton. 963 carcases frozen lamb. LOCAL PRICES OF FAT STOCK.
