LONE TRIP FROM CAPETOWN.

By Telegraph—Press As&n. —Copyright. London, Jan. 3.

The most remarkable flight made by a woman in any country ended when Lady Bailey reached Stag Lane from Capetown in a Moth Cirrus machine. She left Capetown on May 12 and was soon afterwards forced to land and damaged the undercarriage in . a sunken road. The Sudan authorities refused permission fqr a lone woman to traverse east Africa and the Nile, but the Belgian authorities consented for her to traverse the Congo. For ten days there was no news of her, and there was considerable anxiety, as she was flying over country unknown aviationally and regarded as dangerous. On November 28 she reached French West Africa. Permission to fly across the Sahara was refused owing to, the disturbed nature of the country. Finally by permission of the Spanish authorities she reached Casablanca.
