OTAHUHU CASE REVIEWED. F. G. HOLMES DISQUALIFIED. SUSPENSION FOR THRiEF MONTHS. Christchurch, Last Night. At a meeting of the Board of the New Zealand Trotting Association on Saturday e -ning, a further development took place in the Laplander and Free Advice case, and the well-known driver, F. G. Holmes, was disqualified for three months. It will be remembered that at the Otahuhu meeting on November 17 Laplander (F. G. Holmes) anil Free Advice (J. Bryce) finished first and second. The stewards after an inquiry reversed the judge’s plaeings, and Holmes was cautioned. The owner of Laplander (C. Nordquist) appealed to th' Trotting Association and on Saturday Nordquist appeared befor-i the association in support of his appeal. The association decided to write to the Otahuhu Club to ascertain whether Nordquist had been invited to be present at the inquiry, and if net, to reopen the ’nquiry. The association also decided, as stated above, to impose a penalty of three months’ disqualification on F. G. Holmes.
