WEATHER WILL IMPROVE SOON.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be unsettled with rain in most districts, but will improve shortly from the westward. Temperatures will be cool. The depression approaching New Zealand yesterday became cyclonic in form and is now centred near Cape Egmont. A moderate anti-cyclone lies over the south-west Tasman. There will be moderate to strong southerly winds, south of Cape Egmont and Castlepoint and moderate to strong northerlies elsewhere. Southerlies will gradually become general. Seas will be rather rough north of Greymouth and Akaroa and moderate elsewhere.
