The erection of a statue in memory of Mrs. Pankhurst, either near the House of Commons or at the end of Downing Street, the scene «f many militant suffrage battles, is the purpose of a fund of £2060 which admirers hope to obtain by subscription throughout the world. Mr. A. G. Walker, sculptor of the Florence Nightingale statue in Waterloo Place, has completed a plaster sketch representing Mrs. Pankhurst, hatless, and attired in her favourite evening coat, in which she appeared on many platforms.
