An effective waistline for an evening gown is suggested here. The bodice is rucked prettily from bust to hip-line; at the back is placed a flat bow of figured transparent velvet, the long ends of which drop several inches below the skirt hem. On a frock of white taffetas, a pale green and black bow looks particularly well.
