CANADIAN MINISTER IN JAPAN
SPECULATION OVER APPOINTMENT By Telegraph —Press Assn. —Copyright. Ottawa, Oct. 11. The first task of the Premier (Mr. Mackenzie King) on his return from Europe, will bo to name tho first Canar dian Minister to Japan. It is understood that Doctor James H. King, a Cabinet Minister, has been offered and has refused tho post. Sir Campbell Stuart is also mentioned. Ottawa is curious over dispatches urging him for the post, one from Washington and one from Tokio. It is extremely doubtful if he could be appointed. Mr. Laurent Beaudry, counsellor of tha Department of External Acairs, is suggested.
