London, Oct. 5. It is undeistadd tliat during his' recent visit to England, JI. Venizelos, the Greek Premier, placed a contract with a London. firm for the reclamation and -irrigatiion of. large areas in Thessaly, Epirus and other parts of ■Greece with the object of converting them into agricultural land. The scheme is designed to .benefit 1,800,000 Greeks who have been repatriated from Asia Minor. The survey work will occupy two years and the ultimate cost is estimated at £10,000,000.
