TEACHING POPULACE TO WRITE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Times Cable. Constantinople, Sept. 21. Alustapha Kemal has returned to Angora after a tour of northern Turkey, the object of which was to instruct the population in the new alphabet. He says he is highly satisfied with the progress made. Everybody in Turkey in a few years will be able to read and write. Orders have been issued that all correspondence throughout Turkey, after October, must employ the new alphabet.
