ALL BLACKS HOME TEAM
WEST COAST-BULLEK DEFEATED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Greymouth, Last Night. The AU Blacks defeated a combined West Coast-Butler team to-day by 40 points to three. The weather was fine and the ground good. The attendance was 3000. The game was very onesided, the All Black backs having no trouble in scoring when they obtained the ball, while the local pack could not hold the opposition In the loose or in the line-outs though they were even enough in the scrums. In the first spell the All Blacks led by 18 points to nil, tries being scored by McKay (3) and Oliver, Snodgrass converting three tries. In the second spell Cooke. Robinson (2), Freitas, McKay and Snodgrass scored tries, the last-named converting two. McCleary scored a try for Combined. Cooke initiated most scoring movements, but McKay and McKenzie were the outstanding AU Black backs, while Freitas, Robinson and Knight were prominent forwards. The best local player was Hagar, rover, who held Porter well, while Doughterty and A. King were also good in the forwards. O’Brien was the outstanding Combined back and Houston played a fair game.
