COURTS VIEW CRIME SERIOUSLY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Aug. 31. “The safety of mails in post offices is of great public importance, and the courts never look lightly on offences by officials in post offic' i concerning tampering with mails,” said Mr. E. Page, S.M., when sentencing a young postman, Henry Edward Roberts, to be detained in the Borstal Institute for 12 months on five charges of stealing letters containing money, postal notes and stamps, involving £5 8s 6d.
