MATCHES AT WAIWAKAIHO. The Ladies’ Golf Union match was played yesterday at Waiwakaiho. Owing to a stiff southerly wind very few good cards were returned. The following are the best results: —Mrs. Johns, 103—21 82; Mrs. Strong, 99—14—85; Miss Shaw, 99—13—86; Mrs. Russell, 101—13—88. The first round for the ladies’ championship was played last week with the following results:— Seniors. Juniors. Mrs. Johns defeated Mrs. Rea; Miss Home defeated Mrs. Johnson; Miss Blundell defeated Mrs. Scanlan; Miss Hawes defeated Mrs. Fraser; Miss Robertson dereated Miss Rennell; Miss Wilson defeated Miss Foote; Miss Christoffel won by default from Mrs. Weston; Miss Cameron defeated Miss Leatham.
