TREATMENT'IN HOSPITAL THE NEEDHAM CASE DISCUSSED. NEW MEASURES INTRODUCED. By Telegraph.—-Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Mr. P. Fraser (Wellington Central) asked the Minister of Health in the House of Representatives to-day whether his attention had been drawn to the remarks of Mr. Justice Sim in the Supreme Court yesterday with reference to tho treatment of the late Thomas George Needham at the Wellington hospital. He wanted to know whether the Minister would have a thorough investigation made of the facts.

The Hon, J. A. Young replied that his information was that Needham was immediately X-rayed on admission r i February 2, and that no evidence of fracture nor of injury to tho organs was disclosed by the examination. At the coroner’s inquest, tho full circumstances were gone into, but the coroner made ao comment. That was all tho information he could give at present, and if Mr. Fraser was not satisfied he would have further inquiries made. Replying to Mr, W. Jones (Marsden), the Hon. O. J. Hawken said the Government was prepared to give a subsidy of £3 5s per case of eggs exported. That would amount to about Is 5d per dozen here.

Fraser), Wellington City Empowering Bill (Mr. R McKeen), Building Trades Employees’ Tools of Trade Insurance Bill (Mr P. Fraser), Ashburton Water Supply Lagmhor Creek Bill (Mr. E. P.
