Included were: That the probationary period for nursing staffs of mental hospitals be reduced; that in the interests of the service as a whole the association press for tho appointment of two assistant commissioners; that the Government be approached with a request that the maximum salary provision in tho Family Allowances Act be raised to £295 per annum; that a stipendiary magistrate be appointed as chairman oi of the Public Service Appeal Board; that the association continue to press for certain exempted departments to bo brought under ommissioner control.
