WELLINGTON CRUTCHINGS SALE. PRICES WELL MAINTAINED. Messrs. Dalgety and Company. Limited, report a very sound sale, with excellent prices for good, well classed crutchiugs. Local scourers were well in the market for medium seedy lots, and class of wool sold remarkably well. Very seedy lines also met good competition from the same source. They of fered a considerable quantity of merino and halfbred crutchiugs, also eye clips and second crutcliings, principally from the Marlborough district. Any lines of these, being free from seed, were eagerly competed for, and generally taken by local mills. Briefly, tile sale was very sound, prices being all through slightly above brokers’ ideas of values. They offered 548 bales, their top price for crossbred crutchiugs being IGJd for the well-known Iluiarau brand, and for merino crutchiugs, Hillersden brand IGJd, halfbred RU in D and Ketu brands lad.
