CAMP FOR GIRL GUIDES
TRAINING WEEK IN TARANAKI. A Guiders' training week will be held at New Plymouth from June 21 to 28 inclusive, with Miss Mona Burgin, of Auckland, in charge-of the training. Miss Burgin is the popular district captain for the Auckland province, and is the only holder of the blue cord diploma in New Zealand. She has recently returned from Honolulu, where with an American Girl Seouter she was in charge of a large international eamp. The training week will be a provincial one, and Guiders from all over Taranaki are taking advantage of the opportunity of attending. Mrs. D. Steven, district commissioner for Stratford, Eltham- and Kaponga, has lent her house at Ngamotu beach for the huosing of Guiders, and Mrs. Abraham, Brown Owl, Stratford, has also made her house available for the purpose of training. The visiting Guiders will be met on arrival in New Plymouth, and conveyed to the camp. Miss J. L. Home, of New Plymouth, ims been appointed secretary, and a strong committee has been set up to attend to the arrangements. Thia will be the first provincial training week to he held in Taranaki, and it is being most enthusiastically supported. The training will be available to intending Guiders, as well as to those already in tire movement.
