WEDDING
JONES—FR AXES. The wedding was solemn’sed on May 18, at St. Mary’s Chureh, New Plymouth, of Gladys, younger daughter ci Mr and Mrs. C. Franks, of Seyton Street, Stratford, and Albert, eon of Mrs. and the late Mr. H. J. Jones, of New Plymouth. The Rev. Stevens officiated, and Mr. Renaud presided at th© organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was dressed in a dainty frock of ivory boat'd georgette. She wore a beautiful hand-embroidered veil, arranged in mob cap style, with, orange blossoms, and carried a pretty bouquet of chrysanthemums ano maidenhair fern. She was attended by her two sisters, tho Misses Vera and Betty Franks, as bridesmaids, the former wearing a shell pink French crepe de chin© frock, with gold shoes and stockings, and head-dress of pink tulle embroidered with gold, while th© latter wore a mauve French crepe de Chine frock, with silver shoes and stockings and a headdress of mauve tulle embroidered with silver. Both carried shower bouquets of maiden-hair fem and chrysanthemums. Mr. R. Bell, of New Plymouth, was best man, and Mr. K. Nodder, also of New Plymouth, was groomsman. A reception was held in the Hygienic Tea Rooms, where a number of guests were entertained. The usual toasts were honoured and many congratulatory telegrams were received. Later the couple left by ear for the south, where the honeymoon was spent, the bride travelling in a cinnamon tailored costume with hat and shoes to match. She wore a beau- ‘ tiful fox fur, the gift of the bridegroom. Th© bridegroom’s gifts to the bridesmaids wera gold bangles.
