BOARDS AND STATE DIFFER

OBJECTIONS TO APPOINTAIENTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, May 16. An unusual situation has developed in Wellington, the Department of Health vetoing the appointment by the Wellington Hospital Board of Dr. B. Ewen as medical superintendent, on the grounds that the regulations have not been complied with, and the Department of Education vetoing the Wellington Education Board’s appointment of Mr. E. K. Lomas as a principal. It is stated that there is nothing personal in the grounds of the objection to the hospital appoinment. Botn boards are adhering to their original decision.
