The John is due at New Plymouth today from Port Waikato to load for Lyttelton and Wellington. (Holm and Co.). With passengers and 90 tons of cargo the Ngapuhi arrived at New Plymouth early yesterday morning from Onehunga. She returned north at 7 p.m. the same day and is due again on Tuesday. She is taking seven ■ ! passengers. MAHIA NOW DUE TO-MORROW. Latest advice states that the Mahia will not reach New Plymouth from Lyttelton until to-morrow night. She is to load daily produce and meat for London. WAIHEMO SAILS ON MONDAY. The Union Company advises that the Waihemo, which is now unloading Pacific Coast cargo at New Plymouth, will sail on Monday for Melbourne and Sydney l to complete. 1

MESOPOTAMIA FROM OCEAN ISLAND, Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlanc (Auckland) advise that the steamer Mesopotamia fo expected to leave Ocean Island at an early date with 6G90 tons of phosphate for discharge at Auckland and New Plymouth. She is due at Auckland at the end of the month. WELLING TON-I.YTT ELTON SERVICE The Union Company advises that owing to alterations in the time-tables of South Island express trains, the ferry steamer Maori will in future be despatched from Lyttelton for Wellington on Wednesdays and Fridays after the arrival of the 6.->0 p.m. local train from Christchurch to Lyttelton wharf. RUAIIINE FROM SOUTHAMPTON. The steamer Ruahine is expected to leave Southampton for Wellington next Thursday with passengers, mails and cargo.
