RESEARCH IN AGRICULTURE

WORK HERE IS ON RIGHT LINES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. That New Zealand is working on the right lines in regard to scientific agriculture research is the opinion of Dr. C. J. Reakes, Director-General of Agriculture, who returned to-day after a world tour in the course of which he attended the Imperial agricultural research conference in London. The results of his inquiries wiH be made the subject of a report to the Government. The work of the conference had been very valuable and Dr. Reakes was able to gain knowledge of research activities in various parts of the Empire and Continent. As far as he could see the marketing of New Zealand dairy produce and meat was working smoothly in London, and the New Zealand produce was held in high esteem.
