ADMINISTRATION OF SAMOA
A NATIONALIST REVIEW, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, March J 4. In an interview to-day, Mr. G. W. Forbes, the Nationalist Party leader, said he had no hesitation in saying that he agreed with the efforts to restorj constitutional authority in Samoa, after which it would be possible to discuss the rights and wrongs of the situation. Mr.tlolland’s statements had been a disturbing factor when the Government was in a difficult position anl mishan dling might bring disaster. It behoved a public man who could not say anything to improve the situation to refrain from speech. • He believed a man with experience of the Maori ra.'o should be administrator.
At Wellington, Mr. Coates stated today that ho had no announcement to make at present. Ho preferred to await the arrival of the information he expected to receive by the Dunedin, which was arriving from Samoa on Friday.
