MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS. (From Our Own Correspondent). On Thursday afternoon three rinks of Eltham bowlers visited Inglewood and played a very enjoyable game against the local team. Inglewood proved victorious by 80 to 63. Following are the detailed results, Inglewood rinks being mentioned first: I. E. If. Cold, 1.. On Wednesday, the delegates from the different fire brigades from all parts of the Dominion which are meeting In New Plymouth on Monday, have been invited by the local brigade to visit Inglewood and inspect the brigade’s quarters and appliances. They will be the guests of the local brigade at afternoon tea, which will be served in the Town Hall. The Rev. Thompson, the newly-ap-pointed vicar of the Inglewood parish, arrived on Wednesday evening to take up his duties. He took his first service* at St. Andrew's Church yesterday.
