By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Lost Night. The official evening weather forecast indicates no change in the general situation. The forecast is for northwest to westerly winds chiefly fresh to strong at times in Cook and Fouveaux Straits and moderate elsewhere. Generally smooth to moderate seas but rising in Cook and Fouveaux Straits. Chiefly fair to cloudy weather and warm but with scattered showers in Westland and Otago and a slight tendency for thunderstorms at inland stations.
