MISAPPROPRIATION ALLEGED. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. f Received Feb. 7, 5.5 p.m. A. and N.Z. London, Feb. 6. The New Zealander, Captain Cant, as the result of inquiries as to his whereabouts, called at the Bishopsgate police station. As a sequel he was charged at Bow Street on Saturday with the misappropriation of New Zealand Government funds. He was remanded. Detectives from Scotland Yard have been searching for Captain A. R. Cant, who was missing after arriving in Liverpool from New Zealand to take over the new steamer Maui Pomare, which was launched on September 29. Captain Cant has been missing since January 8.
