GENERAL AND PERSONAL ITEMS. At a meeting of St. Mark’s Church vestry on Thursday evening it was decided to hold the annual harvest festival services on the third Sunday in March, and the sale of the fruit and produce in the parish hall on the Monday evening. Two rinks of bowlers from Kaponga paid a friendly visit to Manaia over the week-end, and were defeated by a small margin in both rinks. Mrs. W. Marr and daughter, Palmer Road, are at present on a holiday In Wellington, and will be absent about two weeks. Mr. C. Harding, who has been attending a week’s training camp for N.C.O’s. at Trentham returned home on Satur day evening. Mrs. A. Fraser and family returned home from their holiday in Inglewood on Sunday last. Mrs. F. McEwen and family, New Plymouth, are spending a fortnight’s holiday with Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Cran. Mr. T. McMillan left for Auckland on Monday to attend the funeral of his father who had died there suddenly. Masters Charlie and Lyle Brewer, who have been spending a holiday with their grandparents at Waikanae, returned home on Monday evening.
