The officials, Messrs, J. S. S. ! Medley, C. H. Weston, G. H. Gorringe I and E. Gilmour, had the competitors on their marks smartly, and the eight [events were put through without any [delay. Mr. E. J. Hutchinson was responsible for the handicapping. The results are:— 100 Yards.—First heat: Warner (7 yards) I, McNicol (7yds) 2, Thompson (9yds) 3. The only starters. Won by two yards, with inches between second and third. Time, lOsec. Final: Webster 1, Thompson 2, McNicol 3. The six qualified started. The back markers could make no impression on the handicap men, Webster running strongly to win narrowly from Thompson, who was only a foot in front of McNicol. Hunter ran well in the first lap, catching up with the field, but with half a lap to go Jackson moved up to take the lead a. hundred yards from the tape, followed by Robertson and Hutchinson. Jackson ran on well to win by five yards, while Hutchinson with a great burst just managed to come home ahead of Robertson. Time, 2min 2}sec. Half Mile Cycle.—Wyatt (20yds) 1, Shaw (20yds) 2, Heatley (60yd|s) 3. Also started: Roebuck (50yds), Smillie (50yds). Nd time rvas taken. High Jump.—Robertson sft 6in, 1; Kingston (sin), sft «4in, 2; Medley (2in), sft 3in, 3. Also competed: Pank hurst (sin). Also started: Medley (7yds), Webster (8 yds), Warner (15yds), Falwasser (16 yds), Pankhurst (16yds), Hutchinson (21yds). Kingston made good headway in the first lap to take the lead from Walsham at the three-quarter mark, and continued to run steadily to breast the tape ten yards ahead of the next man. Walsham who was placed second, had a great i tussle with Campbell, who' challenged strongly 100 yards from the post, but sprinted gamely to beat him by inches. Time, 4min 43|see.
