Fisticuffs and an exchange of inkpots as missiles formed the climax to a debate in the City Assembly over a motion of no-confidence in the Mayor, whom political opponents are endeavouring to oust. Four members were seriously wounded in the fighting of factions which represent opposing national parties now seeking to control the political and financial affairs of the capital prior to the general election of 1928.
