INGLEWOOD SALE OF WORK

PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH EFFORT. Knox Church Hall, Inglewood, presented a busy scene on Saturday morning and afternoon, when the Ladies’ Guild held a supplementary fair and sale of work in aid of the new -church building fund. Owing to the wet weather on the day of the main fair, some of the plain and faneywork the ladies had -been preparing for some months previously had not been disposed of. This formed the nucleus of Saturday’s fair and with the well-filled cookery and produce stalls, the contents of which ’ found ready sale, the fund should be! satisfactorily augmented. Those in charge of the stalls were:—. Fancy, Mesdames Boyd, J. Gibbs, A. Henderson, R. Mcßae and J. Penn; plain, Mesdames Geo. Farquhar, W. J. McCormack, Noble King and B. C. Larsen-; .produce, Mesdames R. Stewart, J. Young, Misses Johnson) and Carney.
