PETITIONS IN DIVORCE
UNDEFENDED CASES HEARD. A DESERTED HUSBAND. Undefended petitions in divorce were dealt with by His Honour Mr. Justice Ostler at the Supreme Court in New Plymouth on Saturday morningOn the grounds of desertion, William Hay was granted a decree nisi, to be made absolute in three months, against Edith May Hay. He married her on December 3, 1908, at Dannevirke, he said. They afterwards lived at Palmerston North. She left him a week or a fortnight after the marriage, and he had seen her only once since. She had then told him she was “through with ’him.” There was one child whom he 'had never seen. Petitioner was now a surfaceman living at Okato. Decrees nisi were made absolute on the petitions of Pauline Rogers against Marton Theodore Rogers, and on the petition of Emma B. Curtz, against Geo. Christian Curtz.
