IMPORT AND EXPORT LEVIES
HARBOUR IMPROVEMENT RATES. After long and careful investigations the New Plymouth Harbour Board lias decided to make a harbour improvement rate of 2s Gd a ton on inward and outward cargo. The new regulation will come into operation on January 1. There Is already a tax of Is on imports, so that this will be increased by Is Gd.
