NORTH TARANAKI ASSOCIATION. At »- representative meeting of school teachers and members of school committees at New Plymouth last night, when Mr. S. G. Smith presided, it was unanimously decided to form a North
Taranaki Primary Schools’ Amateur Athletic Sports’ Association, The district is to comprise the counties of Egmoot, Taranaki, Clifton, Waitomo, Inglewood, Stratford and Whangamoinona, the boroughs of New Plymouth, Waitara, Inglewood and Stratford, and the town district of Opunakc. Officers were elected as follows: —Patron, Mr. J. S. S. Medley; president, Mr. S. G. Smith; vice-presidents, Miss Valentine, Messrs R. G. Brabyn and G. A. Lyall. A committeo comprising Misses Haiper. Tarry, Messrs L. J. Furrie, W. Wag staff, D. P. Evans, A. T. Train, A. Mills, M. Goldsbury, C. A. McKinney, Hunter, J. Garcia, Burr, with the officers ex officio, was set up to draft a constitution, draw up a programme, etc., and report to a further meeting. Messrs F. A. Bruco and H. W. Instill were appointed joint secretary and treasurer. It was decided to hold the sport* meeting during March.
