For this year’s Christinas Nlimber, the News seeks the assistance of its read.ers and offers rewards for literary talent in various competitive classes as follow,' SHORT STORIES (Open.) First Prize £3 3 0 Second Prize X 22 O POEMS (Open.) First Prize .£1 1 0 Second Prize 0 10 « One guinea will be paid for each short story that is published (other than prizewinning efforts). The maximum length for stories is 2500 words. The decision of the Editor will be final.
