EXCELLENT business' done, AMERICAN COMPETITION MET. (British Official \yifeles«.) Riigbi', Oct. 13. The Motor Show at Olympia, which opened yesterday, ie attracting huge crowds. It ie estimated that 12,000 were present to-day. A feature was the large proportion of those : who did not arrive in ears, but were evidently prospective buyers, who waited in the long queues for admission. British manufacturers were unanimous in expressing their satisfaction . pith the business being , done. Representatives of some firms producing six-cylinder cars costing less than £lO9 declare that their factories will have to be enlarged on account of tho big sales. These ears, they say, have won the ground previously monopolised by American cars but, while it is in tho cheaper cars that the Home manufacturers are scoring heavily, the makers of expensive ears are doing almost equally well. Indeed they jaro agreeably surprised at their suedese, in view of the competition. Tho show promises in the general opinion a year of unprecedented business in the iffiildr industry.
