DEFEAT OF SOUTH SCOTLAND. By Telegraph—Tress Assn.—Copyright. Received Oet. 10, 5.5 p.m. London, Oet. 15. Tho Waratahs beat South Scotland by 36 points to nil. On a fast, dry ground, the Waratahs, under their real home conditions, gave one of the best displays of the tour and had a real border welcome. Over 10,000 were present. The Waratahs started right off as if they were bound to win. In a few minutes Tanered was over the line, Lawton converting. Ford got a try after a brilliant piece of work, but no goal resulted,
The Waratahs nearly always secured from the serums, hut were often penalised. E. Ford scored again in tho first spell, but the try was not converted. The second spell provided the best incident of the game, E. Ford crosskicking and Greatorex running through from midfield to score. Lawton converted. Further scores were obtained by Greatorex, E. Ford, Mann and Sheehan, who overwhelmed the Borderers. Lawton converted every one. Greatorex was outstanding, and Ford's speed delighted the crowd.
