ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES
THE TARANAKI PETITIONS. Following the -announcemeut of the new electoral districts' petitions were forwarded from certain Taranaki electorates. These petitions, • with tho decisions, are as follow-:—• , Egmdnt and Stratford.—Protpsi-ing against portions of Omata and' Majigqrei Ridings of Taranaki county /being included .in the Egmont and Stratfo.d Electoral Districts.—“ Unable to comply.” - Egmont.- Forwardiiig resolution passed by the Stratford County Council protesting against tho exclusion of the -West Riding from the Stratford Electoral District. to comply.” Egment.—Forwarding rcsolutiou carried at a public meeting protesting against the West Riding of Stratford county being included in tho Egmont Electoral District. —“Unable to comply.” Egmont.—Objecting to tlie exclusion of the West Riding of Stratford county from tho Stratford Electoral District.—• “Unable to comply.”
Egmont.—Forwarding petition from 187 residents of tho West Riding of Stratford county to be included in the Stratford Electoral District.—“ Unable to comply.” Egmont.—Strongly supporting tho objection by the electors of the West Riding of Stratford county to their inclusion in tho Egmont Electoral District.—“ Unable to comply.” Patea. —Forwarding two petition# from 50 residents and electors of the Eltham Riding of Eltham county to be included in the Egmont Electoral Di*» trict. —“Complied with.”
