TWO GIRLS DETAINED

EARLY ABROAD’WITH A CAR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At 3 o’clock this morning the police detained two girls, each about 18 years of age, who were loading • luggage into a dilapidated motor car, and detained them pending communication with their parents or relatives. One belongs to Waipukurau and the ether to Wellington. They had come from Wellington, and stated that they were making an early start on the return journey. Neither had a license to drive, but one had a transfer showing tliat she had purchased the car.
