LAND AGENT'S RIPOSTE IN COURT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. “I didn't ask you that question ami I wish you would try to assist me in the matter,” said the city solicitor in cross-examination of a land agent witness in a claim against the City Corporation yesterday. -“I don’t want to assist you. I want to tell the truth,” replied the witness ainidst laughter.
