VICTORIA LEAGUE
TWO MEMBERS FAREWELLED. A very enjoyable farewell party was held iu the Victoria League rooms on Monday afternoon, when the president, Mrs. C. H. Burgess, entertained a number of friends in honour of two members of the league, Mrs A. K. Stevens, who is shortly waving for Hawera, and Miss Ivy Johnston, who sails during the month for England.’ The guests of honour were presented with beautiful posies of primroses, and in a little speech of farewell Mrs. Burgess expressed the appreciation of the league to Mr?. Stevens and Miss Johnston for their active interest in the league's activities, especially for their work in connection with the teaching of cane and raffia work to the patients in the hospital. Mrs. Burgess asked the guests to accept the very best wishes of the league, and she wished them every happiness in their new homes. The claffc-l'.l day helpers are to be entertained by the president at the usual fortnightly floral tea on Friday afternoon.
