HER “GLORY BOX.”
A THOUGHTFUL BRIDE MAKES INTERESTING CONFESSION. While touring the West Coast of the South Island recently a well-known commercial man called on a newly-married couple away in the back-blocks. The journey had been arduous, and, when asked by his hostess if he would partake of some refreshment, the traveller replied: “Thank you, I will; but I wonder if you have any Anti-Acido in this part of the country.’’ The hostess burst out laughing. “Of course we have! I was doubtful of the effect of my amateurish cooking on Bill’s digestion, so I packed a tin of Anti-Acido in my glory box. We needed it, too, didn’t we, Bill?”
Bill grinned. “It certainly saved the situation. Bess is a smart woman. If every young wife gave her husband AntiAcido there would be no indigestion to disturb connubial bliss, and everybody would be healthier and happier. Look at me! I was never so fit in my life as I am to-day, and Anti-Acido did it.”—(Advt.) J
