EIGHT PERSONS INJURED
COLLISION OF MOTOR-CARS. ACCIDENT IN WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, July 8. A collision between a motor-car driven by William Carter, of Grass Street, and a car driven by Spencer E. H. Furrell, Lower Hutt, occurred at the intersection of Molesworth Street and Lambton Quay at 2.30 a.m. Furrell’s machine was turned over on its side. The injured were: Miss R. Murphy, Sydney Street West, cuts about head and arms, admitted to Hobson Street Hospital, condition not series; Mrs. Hugh Anderson, Molesworth Street, broken collarbone, sent to hospital and then home; Max Lemmer, single (Lower Hutt), injuries to head, sent to hospital, condition not serious; Mr. Furrell, cuts about the face and head, attended medically and able to return home; Mr. and Mrs. N. Taylor (Petone), minor cuts and bruises; H. Anderson and W. Carter, cuts and bruises. Several others escaped without Injury.
