MECHANICAL HARE RACING
DOGS DEVELOP CLEVERNESS. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Sydney, June 14. The Sydney Morning Herald, referring to mcehanieal hare coursing, says: “Many dogs ar« developing great cunning in cutting corners cleverly and the race is not always to the fastest.” It cites a case where the leading dog s following the course of the hare and two other dogs cut the corner and beat him. and adds: “Under the rules of coursing neither dog could have scored a point for this cleverness.”
