INVALID’S TRAGIC FATE
FATAL BURNS SUFFERED. SAD HAPPENING AT TIMARU, By Telegraph.—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. Elizabeth Bentley, a married woman, 57 years of age, who has been paralysed for the past four years and blind for th© past three weeks, met with a tragic fat© to-day. She was left sitting before a fire while her husband went to town to make some purchases. Returning half an hour later he found his wife’s clothes had taken fir© and she was seriously burned. Medical aid was summoned and she was removed to th© public hospital, where she died four hours later.
